Well Dear Niece I received your welcome letter yesterday & was glad to hear from you all
again. It found me well & now I hope these few lines will find you the same. I’ve bin thinking of writing to you ever since I came home but (?) Wm. B. went out, I thought I could send word by him how I was. Well William Bennet is a bout to by out Frank & Provie in the old home place. If he dose I expect he will move up here. Frank is talking of coming out thare to look for a place to move. But I don’t now what he will do yet. He has bin talking of selling out whare he lives but I don’t think he can sell now.
Well Marthy I will tel you a bout our meetings hear after I came home. I tended meeting for over a week strait along. We had a good meeting. It was held by a man & his wife. They belong to the Salvation Army. They wer good folks real holiness christiany. They are going to come (?) a camp meeting in the wood a bout a mile from my house. The 1 of August next so I can’t come out to your meeting this time but hope I will get to come some other time. Well Marthy I have bin enjoying my self prety well since I came home. I have bin reading those papers and book your mother send with me and I believe she intended for me to be come more holy as they treated on holiness & sanktification strong. I gess I will hav to read & pray more till I get a deeper work of grace in my heart. I feel the need of it ever mutch. Pray for me that I may receive it. Those Salvation Army folks is holding holiness meetings every week in the neighborhood & have had some excellent meetings. They use the tamberreen in ther meetings. His wife is a good singer. They are from caniday. He was raised hear but she is from ingland. She talks very broken. They are very holy. They are very devoted to the work.
Well Marty I have to close soon. Providence sends her love & best wishes to you all & says you must all try & come out & see us all. Well Marthy I want you to give my best wishes to all the friends out thare & espechaly to Jane & Nancy and in fact I love you all & wish you all well. Hope you will all trust in the good Lord as he is our only hope. Tell Father & Mother I hope they are all well. Hope to see them a gain & have a good time as we had when I was thare before.
