Dec. 4, 1917

Dear Mother, Father & all
I left Camp Dodge at 8:30 Oclock Sunday morning and arrived in Camp Pike, Ark. Monday evening about 5:00 Oclock. Talk about your good time, we sure had a fine time coming down here. Pretty girls meet us with cheers at the depots we past. Every body was glad to see us. The picture on the other side is a picture of a little city we paraded in and the people there sure new how to treat the soldiers. I will write you a letter before long. Good by with best of wishes God bless you all. Write soon.
