My Dear Niece
I Rec your Kind & welcome letters last Night so Dear I will ans both of them at once as I have ben so nervous for over a week I was ashamed to write and I am awful bad yet but maybe you can make out some of it any way.
No Dear it is to close to the ocean for snow I am only about 100 yds from the Beach yes I am up and walked over 1/2 mile to day am able to be around the house and cook a little bite for my self but am awful week and awful poor but am so much better
Well Dear I am minding you in Regard to the Doctor kicked him out over 12 days ago all he done for a week was to take my Poor Old Friend out to the Back Door and tell him I would be Dead before morning and was Dying So so I got mad and told the old whisky bloat I would live to Dance a jig on his Dirty old Grave so he dont come about any more
Well Dear there was 11 Days I cant see how I lived nor what kept me alive some Power I dont know what 7 1/2 Days all I took in my stomach was less than 1 Pinte of beef broth and 1 slice of whole wheat Bread Burnt 9 hours sleep in 156 hours layed all night alone wouldt have no one with me told them to go home and get their Rest I wasnt afraied of Dying alone the old Dock told my Good friend he could not see what kept me a live said yesterday I had more nerve than any sole he Ever seen in all his 65 years but you see dear I am not dead yet but I am not well Either but will hope fore the best
Well Dear Since you speak of coming out to Oregon I will try harder to get well I will hope for the best and hope and pray for God to keep me just to see you all back home if Every thing goes well with me I will give you the best Summer Schooling you Ever had. In Old Oregon Washington and California Yellow Stone and it wont cost you much either then they cant say you never was out of Old Ioway you can brag over the most of them wish you could have seen what I seen a week ago yesterday the Grandest sight I ever see a Greas Storm on the Ocean it looked like th ehole Ocean had tore loos with the Rath of God waves one mile long and 50 to 100 feet high swept Every thing before it logs 100 feet long and 5 and 6 feet through threw them out over the beach like you would throw a broom straw I was a half mile away and the storm would hit is then about 11 Oclock at night the wind changed and threw them all back in the Ocean what a crashing Noise it mad like a hundred houses falling down
Well Dear tell your Dear mother and all if god spares my life and come out I will see them all next Summer hope you are all well
