My Dearest Niece
Rec your Ever kind & welcome letter yesterday glad to hear you were all well wish I could say the same but I cant Dear you spoke of having a fine Garden I have the finest one around here but Dear Im afraid I wont have long I went out last tuesday & howed not 1/2 hour and 3 nites and days I have Payed for it in almost choking to Death so I see I am not able to work even at light work there is a good Job of 4.00 Dollars a day Just a crost the Road for me but Im afraid to try it but is concreet work and awfel heavy So my Neighbor says he wont let me have it till I get better so I guess he is Right I can get it any time I want it if ever get able
Well Dear it is Pretty harde to just sit here and Eat up what little I have saved up toget out of here on but maby I will get out after while I have no idea when my other case will come up some in July or august if we dont get a setlement out of court but cant say when Dear dont you look for me before fall if I dont beat this band of Robbers one I cant work I cant get there & I wouldent come broke I would starve first so donte look for me til a fter my case is off in June if they beat me all will bee off Dear how is your Fathers Eyes tell me Dear what the Docs say caused them to be as they are well we hope for the best hope you are all well & to hear from you soon with love to all J.
