LeRoy, Iowa
Dear Brother & Family,
I will try to write you a few lines this beautiful morning. I wish I felt as bright as the morning looks. But I am not well nor haven’t been for some time. Have had a bad cold all winter. Have a good hired to help with the work. The rest are all well. I hope this will find you all well & how is aunt. Is she still with you. What are you doing now & how many of the little boys go to school. Our children all go to school except Orace and the two babies. Orace works out most of the time. We are having vacation now. Bart & the boys are hauling corn fodder. What did you do Xmas. We went up to Sills. Had a nice time & a good dinner as we all ways have there. What are you going to do tomorrow. Wish you would come over to dinner. Can’t you phone over & tell me whether you will come or not. We have a telephone in our bed room. Nearly all the neighbors have phones. I can talk with any of them any time & to Weldon, Leon, Garden Grove, LeRoy & lots of other places. Elmer have you brother Thedes address since he moved to Portland. He wrote to me once & I have lost the letter. If you have his address, send it to me. Now don’t forget to write soon. Love & best wishes from your aunt & sister Lillie.
P. S. Clarence sends a map for the little boys.
