Christmas Gems
I wish for you the sweetest Christmas
That you ever, ever knew,
And a very Happy New Year
That will last the whole year through.
The best of friends are you and I,
And so I send this greeting.
My you and dear old Santa Claus
Have a very happy meeting.
Old Santa wears a jolly smile
It’s because he’s good and true,
My he bring many pretty things
Especially for you.
This greeting friend, is from my heart
Tho you are far away,
May you meet dear old Santa Claus
On every Christmas Day.
Christmas time with bells and chimes
Comes only once a year,
And so I greet you with this rhyme
Of Christmas time and cheer.
I wish I was old Santa Claus
Here’s how I’d make my living,
I’d just go round and give folks things
For the pleasure of the giving.
I have a Christmas wish, my dear,
Tis the best one that I know,
That of all old Santa’s Christmas things
He will give the best to you.
And when you revel in the things
That give you such delight,
Just think! I wished them all for you
So now my friend, goodnight.
