Invitation to Marion Loving's Party
My name is Marion Loving
I'm one year old you see
And we're having a birthday party
Especially for me,
So on March 5th at 2 o'clock
I am inviting you
To meet me with your sweetest smile
And bring your mother too.

Because we love you so,
May your wedded life be one of bliss
Wherever you may go.
Our circle here, will miss you dear
But we're very glad you see,
That you will have a cozy home
And all of it your very own
And very happy be.
New friends are true friends
What is better for me or you
Than to have them both the good and the true.
Written when we loaned books and they
were never returned.
I cannot loan, I will not loan,
This far too costly book,
But you may sit within my house
And through its pages look.
