Be Kind While Ye May.
Oh, don't be rude or cross today
We've such a little while to stay,
So soon we reach the rivers brink
So soon deaths cup we all must drink.
Oh, let the children play and sing
Their noise is such a little thing,
What if they break their games and toys,
They're only little girls and boys.
The time seems now so far away
When we did things like that one day;
The time seems now so far away
When we did things like that one day;
Far in the past our broken toys
Im mem'ry lives our childhood joys.
Have you a friend who needs your care
One who needs your humble prayer,
Leave not undone the noble deed
Leave not unsown the goodly seed.
Oh don't be rude or cross today
We've such a little while to stay,
Such a little while to live and pray
Let's do the best we can today.
